The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has undertaken the preliminary design and environmental study for a new link between Jessamine and Madison Counties, commonly referred to as the I-75 Connector. People who live or work in and around Jessamine and Madison Counties |
The highlighted section in this map is the preliminary design study area. The actual area needed for construction and maintenance would be a much smaller strip should the project move to the right-of-way purchase phase. This specific location within the corridor is yet to be determined. |

Third Rock Consultants is currently conducting surveys to determine if threatened or endangered plant species reside within the Project Corridor. Spring is the best time for this study because some plants can only be identified when in bloom.

The Public Information Meeting held April 16th in Richmond was attended by more than 300 people. Eighteen people took the opportunity to speak publicly and 14 submitted written comments.

The Public Information Meeting held April 11 in Nicholasville drew about 300 people, with 273 signing in. Twenty-one people made public statements, seven made private statements and 12 people submitted written comments.
